St. John’s is an ELCA Congregation

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Minneapolis is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We believe in the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and the Gospel as the power of God for salvation for all that believe. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God, inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through their authors, recording and announcing God’s revelation centering in Jesus Christ. We believe the Church to be a people created by God in Christ and sustained by the Holy Spirit.
