 Book of Faith Bible Study begins Wednesday, September 8

This simple supper and study meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:15pm.
The first few sessions will explore how the biblical cannon was formed. All are welcome!

  Music at St. John's

The St. John’s Choir will begin rehearsing weekly on Wednesday, September 8 at 7:30pm.
Singers of all ages and ability levels have a place in the choir. Contact Joyce Larson

The St. John’s Brass welcomes new members at any time. The group rehearses on
Wednesday evenings before choir and adds richly to worship on festival Sundays.

A Handbell Choir is being formed. All ages and ability levels are welcome.

 Fall Kick Off Sunday - September 12

Sunday School and Confirmation classes begin! We’ll pray for our teachers and families during worship. Songs, prayer and learning begin at 11:15am. Join us for the holy chaos.

 Focus on Hunger -  September 19 - October 3

 People of all ages are encouraged to participate in this series.
Activities will include decorating brown shopping bags, a noisy offering during worship and a food collection challenge.


 Adult Forum Series on Life Passages - October 24 - December 5

This six-part series takes time to share information and answer your questions about marriage planning, health care directives, care options, estate planning and funeral arrangements. More information is available

 The congregation was founded in 1883 and was the first English-speaking Lutheran Church in the Twin Cities area.  Today you can find us on the corner of 49th Street and Nicollet Avenue in the Tangletown neighborhood of Southwest Minneapolis.
