All Together

An All Together is an activity for everyone in the St. John’s community and if you’re reading this…we mean you!  These fellowship events provide time for people of all ages to come together and celebrate fellowship as a congregation.  All Together events are also a chance to invite friends, family, and neighbors to participate in the fun.

All Together Activities This Season

Feed My Starving Children – Friday, March 9

Save the date!  We need 25 people to help pack food on Friday, March 9 at 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Coon Rapids site.  Sign up to join the crew by calling the church office or adding your name to the poster located in Fellowship Hall during February.  We'll meet at the packing site at 5:45 p.m. and go out for pizza after our shift.  See Jack Hurbanis for more details.

"Bread for the Hungry" - During Lent

On Sundays during Lent, we ask that non-perishable food donations be brought to the chancel as a visible sign of our desire that the "hungry be fed with good things."  Rice, beans, dry pasta, boxed meals and canned goods are welcome.  There is also always need for personal care items, hats, scarves, mittens, and school supplies!

Baptism All Together - Sunday, February 19!

All Togethers are a special way to celebrate fellowship and learning at St. John’s. These events pull all ages together, give prayer partners a chance to spend time together and move Sunday school activities from upstairs into Fellowship Hall for all to enjoy. Stick around after worship on Sunday, February 19.  Friends, family, godparents and prayer partners are encouraged to attend, too.

St. John’s Book Club

Our fourth book will be Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson.  Join us to discuss this pick on Sunday, February 12 at 11:30 a.m. in the lounge.  Bring a copy of the book, a quote that sticks with you and a bag lunch.

All ages and reading interests welcome to join us anytime. Each book choice and date we’ll meet to discuss is posted on the Stories from St. John’s blog and in the Messenger.

Get the Messenger by email!

Are you more likely to read emails than find the Messenger in your mail pile at home?  It takes a lot of work (and stamps!) to mail the Messenger each month. If you would rather receive our newsletter electronically, contact the church office.
