During fellowship the Sunday School children will present the story of our Savior's birth with music and costumes.
Sunday School is offered for children ages 3 through 5th grade Sunday mornings at 9:15 at St. John’s. Join with other St. John’s kids to hear God's word. All are welcome--bring a friend! Children are welcome to worship with their family at 10:00. Nursery care for children ages 3 - 6 is also available. Note: Sunday school will not meet on Dec. 1 Children and youth will present a Christmas pageant blending traditional storytelling and carols with some new multimedia and the debut performance of St. John's Youth Band on Dec. 15 during fellowship hour.
Each year St. John’s Child Care Center likes to take on a group giving project to help our children realize the importance of helping others in need. For the past 20 years, St. John’s Child Care Center and the congregation of St. John’s Church have worked together on this special project during Advent. This year we are once again going to partner with our next door neighbors, Justice Page Middle School. Families have been identified by school social workers as "highly mobile/at risk" families. During Teacher Appreciation Week, Tina Shear and Venita Ditlevson were each presented with bouquets of 30 roses for their 30 years of leadership at St. John's Child Care Center. See photos below. The tulip bouquet is for all the Child Care Center teachers in appreciation for their great work. The Child Care staff was also honored by St. John's at special 'lunch and learn' events that week.
