Join in worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings at St. John's! Opportunity for fellowship follows the service. Enjoy coffee, donuts, and sometimes other treats....and good conversation. On Sunday, September 15, a forum offering a brief demonstration on how to access the Breeze membership database and use the online directory will also follow worship. Follow-up assistance will be available during fellowship on Sept. 22 and 29 as well.
Sunday School for ages 3 through 5th grade is offered Sunday mornings before worship at St. John's. Come at 9:15 a.m. when we gather for learning God's word through music, Bible stories and crafts. All are welcome--bring a friend! Nursery care is offered for those up to age six during worship each Sunday. Activity bags can also be found in the narthex. Confirmation classes are offered for 6th-8th graders.
Missionary Circle invites St. John's congregation to donate items monthly to Harbor Light Center which is a shelter for the homeless operated by Salvation Army. Thank you for your help! YOUR GENEROSITY FEEDS THE HUNGRY! We've resumed the Page Food Backpack program at St. John's for 2019-2020, and the donation baskets are ready! The goal is to be able to give 15 backpacks of food each month of the school year to middle school families in need. Food was sorted and packing begun for this month's backpacks as one of our 'God's Work. Our Hands.' projects this past Sunday, September 8. Thank you for all of your food donations! A Lutheran Perspective on Faith Traditions in America, is the current focus of ‘Bible Study & More’ with Pastor Mark and others. Hundreds of Christian denominations and dozens of non-Christian traditions have followers in the United States. How do we view this wide variety of beliefs and practices? How does the Lutheran tradition compare with others? All are welcome to come and explore key teachings, worship patterns and practices, and other aspects of main religious traditions in our country today. Sessions will meet in St. John's Lounge Wednesday evening at 6:30 and Thursday morning at 10:00.
Celebrate a special day in your life or memorialize or honor a loved one by sponsoring flowers for our worship space. You are welcome to take home the arrangements after worship on Sunday. Please sign up on the flower chart located on the bulletin board outside of Fellowship Hall. Costs may vary - please check with the office for the time being.
