It seems like I was singing for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth of England only yesterday, but in fact it was a month ago. Scotland is a gorgeous place and its people are truly lovely. The pace of life is slow and gentle. And the whole time there my wife, daughter Linnea, and I were over- whelmed at how peaceful everything was; which upon our return to the USA made us see how violent our own culture is. There is a member of this congregation who every time he receives the Body of Christ in the Lord’s Supper says to me, [...]
For April 5-6, we will have a ladies’ group of about 15 from Trinity Lutheran Church here for a spiritual retreat. Outside of groups, we are organizing the camp in a manner that will be dramatically different with storage of equipment and making more space in rooms and buildings. I'm work- ing with Keith Korsmo, our new ‘grounds foreman.’ We are developing and working on projects to tidy things up and improve the efficiency of the camp in general and to improve the look of the camp. Snow is melting quickly and Spring is upon us!
...for a midweek Lenten Worship service which is contemplative in nature. April 10 soup is served (free will offering) at 5:00-5:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall, and worship starts at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Worshippers will enter the worship space in silence and in near darkness and wait. We will sing a little, hear readings, pray together, sit in intentionally long moments of silence, and bask in the peace and presence of Christ. I sincerely hope you come and have a deeply moving experience of Encountering the Cross of Christ, a continual unfolding event in the lives of followers [...]

Palms. Passion. Paradox.
The Last Supper.
Humiliated, stripped down, abandoned by his disciples, crucified for all our sin...It is finished.
