I am currently sitting alone in a guest house near the airport in Chennai, India cleaning up, grabbing a bite, and getting ready to make my way to the airport by 10 PM for my flight at 2 AM local time. I am finding this moment to be a little lonely. On the one hand, I greatly miss my wife and family and excited to get home. will be convened following the budget meeting on January 27. The purpose of this special meeting will be to determine whether to become a Reconciling in Christ congregation. This will occur through a vote on whether to adopt an affirmation of welcome statement. An initial version was circulated for congregational feedback and then revised based on that feedback. A final draft will be available on Sunday, January 20.
Saturday, Feb. 2., 5 p.m.—The Membership Committee will be hosting this first social event of the year. All are welcome to join as we cook and enjoy a meal together (tacos, anyone?) over meaningful conversation and fellowship. A great way to get to know your fellow members better, and meet new folks!
