Wednesdays in Lent

So, once again this year the midweek Lenten Worship services will be contemplative in nature. Soup is served (free will offering) at 5:00-5:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall, and worship starts at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Each week worshippers will enter the worship space in silence and in near darkness and wait. We will sing a little, hear readings, pray together, sit in intentionally long moments of silence, and bask in the peace and presence of Christ. On Friday, March 15th, from 5:30-7 p.m., join us for a night of healthy food and exercise in the new year. Sarah Dutton from Mad Hatter Wellness will guide us through some family-friendly Yoga. Her organization’s mission is to “provide learning opportunities that empower people of all abilities with knowledge and skills to make joyful, healthy choices,” and that’s exactly what she’ll be helping us do on March 15th! Thoughts from Pastor Mark February 21, 2019

I am currently sitting alone in a guest house near the airport in Chennai, India cleaning up, grabbing a bite, and getting ready to make my way to the airport by 10 PM for my flight at 2 AM local time. I am finding this moment to be a little lonely. On the one hand, I greatly miss my wife and family and excited to get home.
