The Giving Tree – open until December 16

Each year St. John’s Child Care Center likes to take on a group giving project to help our children realize the importance of helping others in need. For the past 20 years, St. John’s Child Care Center and the congregation of St. John’s Church have worked together on this special project during Advent. This year we are once again going to partner with our next door neighbors, Justice Page Middle School. Families have been identified by school social workers as "highly mobile/at risk" families. Justice Page Food Backpack Program

YOUR GENEROSITY FEEDS THE HUNGRY! We've resumed the Page Food Backpack program at St. John's for 2019-2020, and the donation baskets are ready! The goal is to be able to give 15 backpacks of food each month of the school year to middle school families in need. The next delivery is scheduled for November 21. Thank you for all of your donations in October! October was a month of joyful celebrations! October 21, we hosted Kaitlyn and Isaac Johnson’s wedding. On October 29 we celebrated a baptism for Henry, a baptism for Sylvia, Clara Willette’s confirmation of faith, all under the banner of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation! All of this brought to life the saying is sure: “Truly the Spirit of the Lord is in this place!” And God’s spirit continues to blow life into us, carrying us into November. Sundays in Advent

Worship at St. John's on Sunday at 10:00 am and stay for fellowship and donuts.  Sunday school is at 9:15 am. This Advent, we will focus on welcoming the Christ Child, members, neighbors, and guests to St. John’s. St. John’s youth will be creating ornaments to be displayed in our narthex using photos of St. John’s members.
