Despite the rain on Saturday, Summerfest 2016 was a great success. During the storm we all went into the Dining Hall. Brian Pederson continued with song and his guitar in a corner. Food was brought indoors and buttered corn-on-the-cob was served immediately. However, four tents did blow over. Volunteers helped in every way imaginable all weekend and they deserve a huge thanks. The beanbag tournament was resumed when the sun returned. In a heated contest, the repeat winners were Pastor Mark and his son Lucas. At 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4, hear first hand from Pastor Mark Tiede about his trip to South Sudan last November. Pastor has pictures and stories to share about his experiences and the work being done by the Lutheran Church in South Sudan.
On Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00 pm the Bemidji Alumni Choir will be performing a concert in St. John's Sanctuary.
